OVER ILSE | ABOUT ILSE

Ilse Knook is een beeldend kunstenaar in Zwolle. Haar werk bestaat uit objecten van keramiek en vele potloodlijnen op papier. Daarnaast probeert ze graag nieuwe materialen en technieken uit, zoals de grote roze knuffelslang die ze maakte in 2020. Ze verbindt haar werk door gebruik te maken van haar favoriete kleuren en te werken met verschillende thema’s.

Ilse houdt van reizen, details, natuur en alledaagse dingen. Door te tekenen en te boetseren wil ze een plek geven aan de dingen die ze interessant en mooi vindt. Deze creaties kunnen samenkomen in reeksen, zines en verzamelingen.

Ilse Knook is a visual artist based in Zwolle, The Netherlands. Her work consists of ceramics and a great amount of pencil lines on paper. She likes to try new materials and techniques as well, like the long pink stuffed toy snake she made in 2020. She connects her work by using her favorite colors and working with different themes.

Ilse loves travelling, details, nature, and everyday things. By drawing and working with clay, she wants to give a place to the things she finds interesting and beautiful. These creations can come together in series, zines, and collections.
